located along the western boundary of hamilton and bordering flamborough, dundas, hamilton west & glanbrook, ancaster is partly urban and partly rural.  known as one of the most prestigious areas of hamilton, ancaster is home to stately homes in the older part of the village and into dundas valley. surveys including condos and towns in the meadowlands and garner road areas as well as along the outskirts of town in parkview heights, make up a large part of the newer homes.
